Peter Ramsey
Peter Ramsey is the owner and producer of Grishman Gold working with a team of local residents who share his love of planet earth and concern for the increasing rate of destruction of the world wide food chain.
Starting his career as a commercial, graphic, and installation artist, he evolved into this century as an illustrator of environmental restoration projects. Working with Paul O’Hara, a botanist and avid environmentalist from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Peter has done presentations for the New Credit First Nations Reserve to naturalize native lands and preserve native plants and animals. He has also worked with the Long Point Causeway Restoration Project to install aquatic and terrestrial passages in the Long Point Biosphere, Lake Erie, Canada. He has also illustrated the naturalization of corporate lands for Inco, the national Nickel Company of Canada.
A lifetime composter, Peter believes composting is a small but important element in saving the planet and something that every person can do without much effort. On a global scale, composting can be a game changer in stopping the advance of desertification, the number one cause of global warming. Combined with the use of Biochar to sequester carbon back into the land, we can reverse the ravage of climate change.
Hand Made in San Miguel de Allende
Alan Grishman
This project was possible thanks to the generosity
and legacy of the late San Miguel resident Alan Grishman.
As a young student of the violin, Alan was invited to meet the legendary cellist Pablo Casals. He stayed in France, studied, and became personal assistant to Casals organizing his yearly classical music festivals in Prades, France for many years. In his career, Alan headed many music departments of universities across the U.S. and performed as a violinist and conductor until his retirement in San Miguel.
Alan passed away in 2020 and is missed by his loving Mexican family every day.
